    by John R. McNeil II The Lady Raiders have been on a basketball hot streak, winning six in a row to improve their overall win-loss record to 11-7. In Central Washington 2B North LR is 10-2 and sitting in second place going into the last week of the season. Ahead of LR is Okanogan, which has yet to lose a game, and in third place are the Brewster Bears, who beat Lake Roosevelt 38-34 at Grand Coulee.     by John R. McNeil II With one week left in the season, the Raiders are sitting at 12-6 overall win-loss record with a four-game win streak. The wins have put the Raiders in third place in the Central Washington 2B North behind the Okanogan Bulldogs and ahead of the Liberty Bell Mt. Lions.   • Wrestlers on to sub-regionals

    Raider Wrestling wrapped up the regular season and is now preparing for the first round of postseason this weekend in Oroville. Sub-regionals start on Friday at 4 p.m and continue on Saturday at 10 a.m. All schools in the Eastern Washington North B Wrestling League will be present. The Raiders settled sub-regional tournament seeding questions at Kittitas Saturday at the Central Washington B Wrestling mix and match.   • Sydney Matheson #1 middle school girls shot putter

    Last week at the Grand Coulee Dam Middle School’s GCD Home Meet, eighth-grader Sydney Matheson threw for a 4-foot personal record in the shot put, which placed her at number one in the state for middle school girls. Matheson’s throw of 36 feet, 9 inches edged out Angel Nkwonta from Lincoln Middle School in Pullman by just one inch for first place in the athletic.net Washington State performance list at 6 pounds.
