Why should the vendetta that John Adkins has against the GCDSD Superintendent, negatively affect our children’s education? Your participation in this year’s School Levy is critical to the future of our children. Your voice and support is what will pass this levy – we can’t do it without. Join us for an important School Levy meeting on Thursday, September 29th at 3:45 pm at the High School HUB. Pizza and beverages provided. Citizens for Quality Education would like to thank those who voted for the Grand Coulee School District Levy and also say a thank-you to those who put signs up in their yards. Thank you to the businesses that supported the levy and a “shout out” to the people who wrote letters in The Star. The bazaar wouldn’t have been such a success without the vendors, customers like you and help from the staff – Steve Knighten, Craig Purdy, Lisa Lakin, Susan Duclos and Tammy Norris. We also engaged the help of Lake Roosevelt High Sch...

We also had Michael Williams walk around with a sign at the boys’ basketball game. Megan and her son, Caden, walked in Electric City showing support for the levy. The levy committee neede...

    Karen Depew|Jan 28, 2015

The reason I accepted the position of chair for the Levy Committee is because I feel that supporting strong schools means … Our kids benefit directly because: • The money stays in the community. • This levy is replacing the existing one, and there isn’t a hike in our rate — it is actually lower. • The state will give our school district over $535,000 when we pass this levy. Our school was completely paid for with state monies. This is our opportunity to maintain and keep it operational so our kids can have a safe, healthy and encouraging...
