    I notice we have at least one yahoo living amongst our four communities that loves to tear up church parking lots, federal roads and federal parking lots, along with the river trail and Washington Flats. This is his favorite time of year because the roads are thawing and we can leave deep, deep ruts for other drivers to follow in and we don’t even have to steer.   • City hall crew friendlier

    Ya know, it used to be when I would go to Coulee Dam City Hall I used to feel challenged, not physically or emotionally, but psychologically. Maybe I’m wrong, but I felt there was a felling of “you better know what you’re doing here so you won’t waste my time” kind of thing. Well, anyway, I know the new regime has only been in office for a short while, but I feel a lot more comfortable there doing business.   • Commending the good stuff

    How many times do we look around the community and not see what’s going on? I know it’s only human nature to complain when things aren’t right and not compliment on a good job, but I think it’s about time to thank some of these federal entities, the people doing the work and their contractors on a job well done. For instance, Grant County has done a great job on the road to Eden Harbor, with new gravel and grading even tough the rug dumpers had been there the same as North Dam Park, leaving their garbage around.
