I want to commend the Lake Roosevelt students who petitioned the school board to change the dress code to something more reasonable and less discriminatory. Often when people notice a problem we either stay silent or simply complain online and then go about our lives. That’s why it was so encouraging to see an example of people working together to set a goal, determine strategy, and present their case to decision makers.
