We would like to thank the personnel from all of the area fire departments that responded to the fire in Elmer City on October 15, 2018. The high winds and encroaching darkness made containing the fire difficult and dangerous; however, these brave men and women worked quickly and efficiently to both contain the fire and prevent additional homes from being destroyed.
