    I have lived in this area for almost 19 years, and in that time I have seen good specialists come to this area, be here for a year or two, and leave. This leaves those who need a good orthopedic or heart doctor forced to go to Spokane or even further to see someone. I have to ask WHY. Why is it that this hospital and clinic are unable to keep these doctors? I will have to blame the hospital administrator(s) for this.     When we moved here from Georgia 15 years ago, the Hamiltons were among the first to welcome us to the area. She put the pin in our home town of St. Mary’s, GA . The Hamiltons were there when we took our 7-month-old granddaughter to the pumpkin patch. And every year and grandchild . I, for one, will miss her smiling face when I go to the patch this year.   • Appalled at mechanic citation

    I am appalled that the city of Grand Coulee would issue a citation and impose a fine to the mechanic and an outstanding person. He will give you the shirt off his back. The other businesses who have complained are being petty. We live next door to The Picards, and we hear nothing coming from his garage. He does not block the road, there are no signs, as my husband Mark stated before. At this point, I am ashamed of our city council and we will be there to support the Picards when his day in court does come. This is one he should win. Maybe the... Full story
