    The Raiders four-game win streak was snapped by a fourth-quarter comeback by Bridgeport on the Jan. 22. Then the Raiders dropped to second-place Manson last Friday, allowing the Trojans to tie with them atop of the Central Washington North standings.     Raider Wrestlers finished the regular season last Saturday at Pateros where they wrestled in a preview of this week’s sub-regional meet in Republic. At the league mixer in Pateros, the Raiders wrestled 27 matches against all-league competition. Some matches determined seeding for the coming Republic event. “We had a really good day and are ready for sub-regionals,” Head Coach Steve Hood said.     The Grand Coulee Dam School District board debated Monday whether to allow ACH (Almira/Coulee/Hartline) athletes to train with Lake Roosevelt track athletes. And ACH won, but only after a debate that ended with a split school board vote. Last season, ACH athletes were allowed attend practice at the district track to train with Lake Roosevelt athletes, but compete for ACH at events. And from reports, everything went smoothly.     Rotarian and Electric City resident Rob Hughes will travel to Guatemala with a group of Rotary volunteers from across North America to bring educational opportunities to impoverished children.     December 21, 2012, wasn’t the end of the world as we know it, but it was the end of this world for Arthur T. “Ted” Winiecki, 87, of Virginia, Minn., dying that Friday, at Virginia Regional Medical Center from an intracranial hemorrhage.
