The North Central B League has been revived with the combination of the 2B and 1B schools in District 6 for the basketball and volleyball seasons. The 2B members of the new NCL include Oroville, Liberty Bell, Bridgeport, Manson, and Lake Roosevelt. Grand Coulee Police 2/27 - Safeway asked that a man be banned from the store for a year. - An Electric City man told police that he wanted to add to a list of things missing from a residence there. He said missing were VCR tapes, some antique bottles, two vases, a glass globe with a dancing girl, three pictures from Germany, a bamboo picture, a vibrating recliner rocker, and a Play Station with several games. Pack 24 had its annual Cub Scout Pinewood Derby Feb. 28, at the Coulee Community Church. Seven Cub Scouts, ages 8 to 10 (Tigers, Wolves, and Bears) participated, with a variety of car styles represented. Four race heats yielded close results, with a tie breaker required at the end to determine the winner. After five tie breaking races between racers Showaway Hunt and James Bird, Showaway came away this year’s Derby Race winner. First- and second-place finishers are eligible to complete in the Okanogon District Pinewood Derby March 17. R...
