    Raider baseball had an up and down week as they defeated the Pateros Billygoats at Greene Field on March 25, then lost a doubleheader to the Liberty Bell Mountain Lions on Friday at home. The season win-loss record for the Raiders now stands at 4-4 overall and 4-2 in Central Washington North play. Brady Black pitched five innings, giving up no earned runs, one hit, and four strikeouts in the no decision.     The Raider boys swept Oroville’s tennis squad last week up north, and the girls’ squad beat Liberty Bell in Coulee Dam. In Oroville March 26, the Raider boys posted their first squad win of the season. For the Raider girls, the match ended as a draw, 2-2. Daniel Campobasso won over Oroville’s Ronel King 6-0, 6-1.     Raider golf travelled to Desert Canyon on March 26 to take on the Oroville Hornets in head to head competition. The Raider boys were the only squad representing LR; the girls did not compete. The Raiders came up short on the final score tally ( Oroville 196 - LR 225) but individual boys showed solid improvement, including Brandon Desautel, who “shaved 18 strokes off his score from our first match, very impressive,” noted Head Coach Steves Files.     In Oroville Saturday a small squad of Raider tracksters competed in the Eagle Home Mortgage Invitational, where the girls’ squad finished eighth with 24 points and the boys finished 11th with 13 points. Chyenne Kelly-Marconi placed in all four of her events, taking first in the long jump with a leap of 14 feet, 8.75 inches. She placed third in both the triple jump and the 100-meter hurdles.
