    The Lake Roosevelt Raiders lost 7-6 against the Waterville Shockers on May 1, effectively ending their season with a 7-9 win-loss record in the Central Washington 2B league, 8-11 overall. Ranked sixth out of 10 teams, the Raiders failed to qualify for the postseason. The Brewster Bears are ranked first in the league with an undefeated 16-0 league record, 18-4 overall. The head coach declined to comment on the loss or the season....

The driver told the officer that he had permission to take the items from a clerk at the store.     There's a new handicapped-accessible parking and viewing area at the Ridge Riders Rodeo Grounds, just in time for this year's Colorama Pro-West Rodeo. Workers prepared the site last week and concrete was poured Thursday morning. Inspiration for the project was attributed to Ann Elliot, who had used the handicapped seating area, described by one Ridge Riders official as "poorly designed," and offered a good report on what she could see of the 2017 rodeo event, which wasn't much.
