    Grand Coulee Police 6/29 - A police officer assisted a Coulee Dam officer in the investigation of a burglary on Holly Street. - A man came into the police department office to report a fire on “B” Street.     The Fort Okanogan Interpretive Center on SR 17 just north of Brewster is hosting free public programs throughout the summer. The programs range from blacksmith demonstrations to tribal beadwork art and preserving family archives. They are scheduled from this Friday through Sept. 20.     Florence Jean Aumick, 97, was born April 2, 1918, in the Jewell County, Kan., sod-brick home of Edward Ray and Florence Ruth Pratt. Tuesday, July 7, 2015, from Grand Coulee, Wash., she left to join her Lord Jesus, whom Florence has faithfully served for so many years. Following her 1936 graduation from high school, Miss Florence Pratt married her life's love Edward B. Aumick in Omak, Wash.,on December 31, 1939.     The Grant County Sheriff’s Office suspended a search last night for a man who went missing while swimming in Banks Lake Friday afternoon, but would pick up the search this morning, a spokesman stated Friday night. Immediate family had been notified of the suspension, but the victim’s name would not be released until today, allowing time for other family members to be notified.
