    Grand Coulee Police 7/30 - A police officer felt threatened and asked for a backup unit when he confronted a driver who had left his dog in a vehicle during the heat of the day. The man got out of his vehicle and appeared to have his fist clenched. Martha Finch, age 95, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho (formerly of Grand Coulee, Washington) passed away August 8, 2013 at Hayden Valley Assisted Living. Martha Elizabeth Hirsch Mundt Finch was born at her family’s homestead near Crow Rock, Montana on May 31, 1918 to Jacob and Anna Margaretha (Redman) Hirsch.
