    Senior Night was spoiled for the Raiders as the White Swan Cougars scored often and cut short many Raider drives for a 54-20 victory on LR’s home field Friday night. The score at halftime stood at 21-7 Cougars, and it looked like the Raiders would have a chance.   • Raider girls champs of District 5-6 cross country in Ellensburg

    The Raider Cross Country girls took the championship at the District 5-6 B Tournament in Ellensburg and will compete as a team at the state race this Saturday in Pasco for the first time since 2005. All the Raider girls ran for personal records, which made it possible for the Raiders to sneak past Oroville by one point for the championship.     The Mountain Lions came prepared and swept the Lady Raiders 3-0 to move into a league tie with Lake Roosevelt. Last night’s volleyball matches are the determining factor as to who will be second and third from the North Central league moving into tomorrow’s and Saturday’s district matchups.     My 3-year-old daughter recently declared that she had a favorite song. The use of the term “favorite” made me sit up and listen. Although she had been displaying preferences since birth, this was her first declaration of a “favorite” anything.     Grand Coulee Police 10/19 - Officers were called to Jackson Street and SR-155 in Electric City, where there was a report of an intoxicated man in the roadway. Police spotted the man and told him to stay off the road and he nodded that he understood. - A woman on Burdin Boulevard told police that her 16-year-old son was a runaway, and then noticed that she had a text message from him.
