  • Moore is heading to state

    Loryn Moore will compete at the state cross country meet Saturday for the second year in a row, after qualifying at the District 5-6 race at Wentachee last weekend. “Loryn Moore ran a very aggressive race, placing second and qualifying for state,” Raider Head Coach Gary Darnold said. “She was nearly a minute faster than her time on the same course last year at the same district race.” Moore crossed the finish line at 20 minutes, 53 seconds, a career personal record.   • New rodeo queen chosen

    The Ridge Rider Saddle Club has crowned their new 2016 Colorama Rodeo queen. Caitlin O'Neil is a sophomore at Almira-Coulee-Hartline High School and definitely not a newcomer to the Colorama Rodeo, having participated many years in helping put on the Colorama Rodeo and other rodeo functions as well. O'Neil has a big year ahead of her as she and her horse Bartender help the Ridge Riders promote 60 years of rodeo this year.     Grand Coulee 10/24 - A man on Lincoln Avenue in Electric City was arrested after a domestic violence incident in which he admitted pushing his live-in partner. He was taken to Grant County Jail. - A Wilbur man and a woman listed as a transient were allegedly involved in a burglary of a house on A Street. The woman was arrested and taken to Grant County Jail and faces charges of residential burglary, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a legend drug without a prescription, third-degree theft, and possession of drug paraphernalia.... Full story
