    Grand Coulee Police 12/1 - A man left his phone in the restroom at Safeway, but it was gone when he returned for it an hour later. He asked to see the store security video but was told it was against store policy. The police planned to follow up. - A school employee reported that graffiti had been painted on Center School. Police took a picture of the graffiti. - A person reported to police that there was an abandoned wheelchair east of town and clothing was scattered around.     A recent discussion addressing earth’s Ice Age periods, the glaciation and the retreating of glaciers, brought the subject of climate change to the front.     Local mail carriers and post office workers will be working this Saturday and Sunday to catch up on delayed mail delivery, following storm damage to the U.S. Post Office’s distribution center in Spokane, which was flooded Tuesday night. That was the day Grand Coulee’s newest postmaster started on her new job. Postmaster Amy Glover seemed unfazed Friday afternoon at the prospect of handling a double delivery Saturday after three days of local mail backing up in Spokane and Seattle.     COULEE CITY, Wash. (11DEC2015) – A 29-year-old Coulee City man is in the Grant County Jail after allegedly firing a rifle, causing Coulee City schools to lock down temporarily this morning, the county sheriff’s office reports. David E. Chapman was arrested without incident Friday morning at his home in a trailer park in the 36800 block of Road I.8 Northeast in Coulee City.
