  • Joy delivered to 99 kids

    Saturday morning, volunteers for the Trees of Sharing began delivering bags of gifts all over the community for kids who might not have presents waiting for them otherwise. People had submitted recipient names, which were represented anonymously on tree ornament tags around town. People picked up the tags, then shopped for those individual kids, dropping off the presents. It's been a local tradition for 40 years.   • Working on quilts every Wednesday

    Every Wednesday we will be tying quilts at Zion Lutheran Church for the months of January and February. The group will start at 9am. Bring a sack lunch if you want to.     Grand Coulee Police 12/10 - A man was banned from Voltage Coffee House after causing a disturbance while arguing with an employee after being asked to leave. He was later screaming and using abusive language inside a Chevron gas station because of the way a patron looked at him because of the screaming, causing the other patron to leave to the parking lot, followed by the man, telling him to leave him alone, and considering pulling out his firearm because he felt threatened.     Coulee Dam's Ferry Avenue, now devoid of trees on the city-owned planting strips, may soon have a couple dozen new trees planted, a city engineer said last week.     Three Raider wrestlers competed at the big Tri-State meet in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho last weekend, taking the tough road to prepare for this week’s PowerHouse Tournament at Lake Roosevelt. That tourney is scheduled to start at 10 a.m., this Thursday, Dec. 21. with both LR’s girls’ and boys’ teams.
