Grand Coulee Police 12/4 - Police responded to a report of suspicious circumstances involving a motor home. The report notes that someone was loading items into a vehicle, “which could be stolen.” 12/5 - A suspect was arrested on Midway Avenue and Federal Avenue “in connection with an investigation being conducted by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.” The person was taken to the county jail. Raider wrestlers took third place at their own annual tournament Saturday, where a dozen schools from Curley to White Swan came for a day of wrestling. Girls teams could also compete in that growing category of the sport. The Raider boys fielded five athletes in five weights, with some also wrestling up to fill in empty weights on the team. Sandra E. Green, 84, from Grand Coulee, Washington, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024. She was born in Mandan, North Dakota on July 27, 1940, and moved to Spokane, Washington with her family when she was a little girl. Ivetta Jane Morgan was born in 1936 to Clifford and Mary (Hansen) Morgan at her Grandmother Hansen's home near Lebanon, MO. She died December 14, 2024 at home with her loving family beside her. Zion Lutheran Church will start tying quilting again, starting Jan. 1 thru February 2025. The quilts are given to both foreign and local originations.
