Grand Coulee Police 9/18 - A woman had yelled because the radio was tuned to another station before she left a Divi-sion Street residence. Someone had reported the yelling. Police spoke to a man who explained the situation and that no violence had occurred. 9/20 - A man in a wheelchair was reported as having assaulted two hospital employees. NCW Libraries has hired a new branch librarian in Grand Coulee. Sage Hachey began her new job in August, replacing Joanne Percy. Hachey grew up in Eastern Washington and developed an early love of reading and libraries. "I have so many early library memories just because that's where I always was," she said. "I read anything I could get my hands on just as soon as I could read. My school librarian had a huge impact on me growing up. She showed me how much of a difference librarians make." Hachey...

They may be used for research or become part of kits that visit schools, libraries and museums. Grand Coulee Police 9/5 - A citizen told police that an intoxicated man was walking in the road near Pole Park on SR-155. Police saw the man walking just off of the roadway on the other side of the fog line. He didn’t want to talk to police, and police told him to stay off the road. Grand Coulee Police 8/28 - A semi-truck had somehow “dropped a load” of apples on the road and sidewalk near the gas station in Coulee Dam. Grand Coulee Police 8/20 - A woman told police that while driving toward the Four Corners intersection, her ex-boyfriend was driving in front of her. She realized her brakes didn’t work and was unable to stop at the stop sign. She said that her ex swerved in an attempt to cause a collision. Navy ‘83 Ride Across America will be in Grand Coulee staying at the Grand Coulee Center Lodge on the 26th of August, and departing on the 27th of August. The group is riding cross country to raise funds and awareness of Veteran issues - at the same time having fun.
