Cross Country Caden Portch took first place among 85 runners from eight schools at the Oroville Invite at Lake Osoyoos State Park Oct. 16. Portch stepped across the 5,000-meter event finish line in 17 minutes, 31 seconds — two seconds ahead of Brewster’s Gerardo Rodriguez, who had to PR for his 17:33 time.
