Chamber to Meet

The GCD Chamber of Commerce will hold its regular meeting this Thursday, Jan. 12, at noon at Pepper Jack’s Bar and Grille in Grand Coulee.

OES to Meet

Order of Eastern Star Grand Coulee Dam Chapter will meet Thursday, Jan. 12. This will be short form and chapter dress. Refreshments and birthday cake will be provded by Linda Carlson. Worthy Matron Carole Fisher and Worthy Patron Don Redfield presiding.

Paper Recycling Day Set

The Rotary Club has set a date for a community shred day of Saturday, April 28.

Last summer, the club sponsored a paper shredding event and brought to town a special truck equipped as a giant shredder. The truck filled early and many people were turned away with boxes of documents they had wanted to shred easily at the no-cost event.

CMC Guild to Meet

The Coulee Medical Guild will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, Jan. 19, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at CMC.

Story Time at the Library

Preschool story time is held every Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Grand Coulee public library.

PTA Meeting Thursday

The local PTA will be holding its regular meeting on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Lake Roosevelt High School library.

Eagles #2577 Meetings

The Eagles #2577 Aerie meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. The next meeting will be held January 24. The Auxiliary meets the first and third Tuesday of every month. Next meeting is scheduled for Jan. 17.

Free Pinochile at the Seniors

Free pinochle is offered at the Grand Coulee Senior Center Monday, Wednesday and Friday beginning at 1 p.m.

Them Dam Writers Meet

Them Dam Writers meet the first and third Wednesdays of each month. The meetings are held from 1-3:30 p.m. in the art room at the senior center. The next meeting will be January 18.

Care and Share Food Bank Open

The food bank at the Church of the Nazarene normal operating hours are Mondays from 2 to 4 p.m. It is located at the Church of Nazarene, hwy 174, Grand Coulee. The bank still can use clean plastic grocery bags.

TOPS Meetings

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter meets on Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m. at Grand Coulee Senior Center prior to the exercise group gathering at 10 a.m. Come and join for the health of it.

TOPS#WA1490, Coulee Dam meets on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., meeting following weigh in downstairs in the ground level fellowship hall in the Coulee Dam Community Presbyterian Church, 509 Central Ave., across from the Colville Tribal Museum.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a non-profit weight loss organization.
