Ridge Riders schedule bulls, burgers and beer

The Ridge Riders have added another event to their summer schedule: bull riding on Aug. 15.

The Wednesday event will be staged at the Rodeo Grounds and begin at 7 p.m.

Ridge Riders President George Kohout said that the group will have a beer garden open, beginning at 6 p.m. and hamburgers will be available.

Some $2,000 has been added to the purse for this event. The entry fee for competitors is $75, and ticket prices will be $10 for those over 10 years old. Small children can watch the bull riders free.

The event was added because of the large turnout and interest after an earlier bull riding evening this summer.
