Fall Hiring Event at BBCC

Twenty-three employers are confirmed exhibitors for the Fall Hiring Event at Big Bend Community College on Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the ATEC Building.

New companies to the area like ChinaSoft and Aviation Technical Services (ATS) are sending representatives, according to a press release from the college. (ATS recently leased a large hanger from the Port of Moses Lake.)

“Last year we called it a holiday hiring event because many exhibitors were retailers looking to hire for the holiday season,” said Ken Russell of the Career Placement Center at BBCC. “This year we have more manufacturers interested in attending, so we changed the name.”

This is not BBCC’s Job and Career Fair, which is held in the spring and usually attracts approximately 70 exhibitors. The fall event has grown because more local employers need to fill job openings.
