Obituary
Texas – Services for Audrey June Flowers, 87, of Alba, were held Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Wilson Bartley Funeral Home Chapel, Alba, with John Ratliff officiating.
Burial was held in Smyrna Union Cemetery, Emory.
Mrs. Flowers passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, in Buffalo Creek Assisted Living in Waxahachie, Texas, where she was an ambassador to greet new residents.
She was born October 24, 1924, in Emory, to the late Emmitt and Eunice (Northcutt) Williams and had lived most of her life in Dallas where she was a catalog buyer for Sears and Roebuck. She moved back to Alba in 1985 and was very active in the Alba Ladies Club and the Meals on Wheels ministry. After retiring, she was a homemaker and a member of the Alba Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Louis J. Flowers; brothers Emmitt Williams, Roy Williams, and Bobby Williams; and daughter Jeanette LeFors.
Survivors include daughter Deborah Savell and husband Ken of Ellis County; brother Calvin Williams and wife Pat of Buffalo; granddaughter Dawn Edwards of Ellis County and two great-grandchildren, “Boots[ Poynter and Savannah Wright.
Pallbearers were Pecos Williams, Dale Williams, Anthony Shrum, “Boots” Poynter, Cass Williams and Bob Round.
The family received friends one hour prior to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
