Hires, etc.

The Grand Coulee Dam School District board accepted one resignation, approved a leave and stipend and made seven hires Monday night.

Kyle Desautel’s resignation as head boys basketball coach was accepted and the board hired Jeff Brisbois to take his place. Michael Rounds, a Middle School Title VII paraprofessional, was given a requested leave. Hired were Senneatt Hodge, night custodian at Center School; Stephanie Hermetz, high school nurse on a one-to-one role; Jaci Gross, seventh grade girls’ basketball coach; Brooke Meinzer, Grand Coulee Dam Middle School winter cheerleading coach; Kathy Krohn, Title VII coordinator; Brad Oliver, LRHS assistant boys’ basketball coach; and Principal Lisa Lakin was given a stipend for her extra duties as co-principal at Center School.

Student numbers at Grand Coulee Dam School District schools climbed by 15 during the month of November to 634, compared to 619 in October. The board budgeted 610 students in its current school year budget.

Surplus

declared

The school board Monday night declared as surplus a number of library materials, many of which have never been checked out. The material included audio cassettes, equipment, books and records.
