News, views and advertising of the Grand Coulee Dam Area
The Trees of Sharing committee extends a heartfelt thank you to our Coulee communities for their outstanding support this season. One hundred seventy children had a merrier Christmas thanks to warm-hearted people in the Grand Coulee Dam area. Many people helped every step of the way by making generous cash contributions, shopping, wrapping, picking up and delivering gifts. As a result, Trees of Sharing elves took gifts to each of the children in 67 families.
The “Trees” committee particularly thanks the members of the United Methodist Church for use of their facilities and their financial support. A big thank you to each of the businesses that displayed the boxes for collecting names: Coulee Medical Center, Safeway Pharmacy, Harvest Foods and the Coulee Dam Federal Credit Union. Thank you to Safeway Pharmacy, North Cascades Bank, Harvest Foods, the Coulee Dam Federal Credit Union, and Bank of America for placing the Trees in your businesses and all your help with collecting gifts.
The Trees of Sharing program is blessed to have Gwen’s help with coverage in the Star Newspaper Thank you, Gwen! Together we carry on a tradition that brings joy and a smile to those who give as well as those who receive.
