Letters to the Editor
This thank you letter is long past due, but I’m getting slower as the years go by.
When was the last time that you said a thank you to a volunteer?
At this time I would like to say a big thank you to all of our volunteers!
Our veterans are on top of the list for serving our country during a war or in peace time.
Our volunteer firemen and EMTs who are there to help us anytime we need their help.
These two groups of volunteers spend a lot of time away from family and friends when they are needed!
Next would be all of our community volunteers who donate of their time and money to help make the Grand Coulee Dam Area a better place to live!
Thanks a bunch to Scott at The Star newspaper for promoting the Volunteer of the Year Award!
Eloise Bowman well deserved the 2012 Volunteer of the Year award for all of the work Eloise and her crew do during the year at the Grand Coulee Dam Senior Center on the Main Street in Grand Coulee.
Thanks a bunch goes out to Eloise Bowman and her crew at the Grand Coulee Dam Senior Center for a job well done.
Linda Black and Evelyn Russell, along with their crew, deserve a big thank you for the Trees of Sharing project they do every year at Christmas time.
Without all of our area volunteers there would be a lot of projects and programs that would be eliminated in the Grand Coulee Dam Area.
At this time, I would like to say a big thank you to the following people who volunteered their fruit trees to be picked this last summer and donated to the senior center in Grand Coulee and Nespelem, the Senior Manor, the fire fighters at North Dam area, the food bank and to various homebound residents.
A big thank you goes out to Kathy Zagemann who volunteered to help pick the fruit and distribute it to the needy!
Thanks a bunch goes out to the following for their donation of fruit picked off their trees! Dave and Mary Tylor, Elmer Rinard, Robert Kelton, John and Sherry Dazell and Miguel at the La Presa Mexican Restaurant, and Al and Alice Graham, and to anyone I may have missed!
To those of you who are wondering if Kathy and I ate of this fruit, we sure did as we would never give out something we would not eat ourselves!
Thanks a bunch to all of the volunteers in the Grand Coulee Dam Area.
