Raider Golf still has a way to go

Raider golfers took on Oroville and Manson at Oroville April 9.

There were no team scores for the match.

“We still have a long way to go,” commented Head Coach Steve Files, “but all our JV girls made the trip and competed really well for their first match.”

“Our chipping and putting needs to get much better in order to compete with the league’s top players,” he added.

Tanecia Stanczak took home the medal for the girls’ match with the score of 105. On the boys side, Austin Rosenbaum led the boys again with a 108. Brandon Desautel and Jordan Allen shot a 120 and 125, respectively.

Raider golf does not have a match this week so they have plenty of time to work on their short game before the next match.

The Raiders return to the links on April 22 when they travel to Omak to take on the Pioneers and Okanogan. Then on April 25, they will head to Lake Chelan Golf Club to compete against Manson and Moses Lake Christian Academy. Both matches start at 2:30 p.m.
