Tribes still held hostage

Letters to the Editor

Colville tribal elections 2013 are over... history; however, the Colville Confederated Tribes are still held hostage in the dictatorship-driven governmental systems through our sitting tribal council.

Nepotism, collusion, buddy-buddy favor and fiscal mismanagement reign supreme! The Colville Tribal membership in general need to become informed/participative to tribal affairs and end this defacto madam queen/C7G rule of our CCT governmental delivery systems. As both lackluster, non-performing, yes-man council incumbents were re-seated in the Omak voting district, prospects to the immediate tribal future look dismal ... static at the very best! With a current push to “reorganization” by evil-corrupt leadership roles in council chambers, the very sustainability fiscally is still at question for the Colville Confederated Tribes.

To me, through experience on the national-state levels politically, reorganization merely means more demands politically “for more monies”... budget limits are at hand and perhaps spending in the red already has occurred!

To my fellow Colville Tribal peoples across our rez and off: Once more! Time for change is NOW! It is time to network, pass the word and even solicit more signatures to finish out those recall/impeachment petitions on remaining council to effect change on the Colville reservation. It is time to step up peoples, Find those petitions to recall nearest you and sign, sign, sign.
