The Grand Coulee Dam School District board approved a number of hires at its Monday night meeting.

Victor Camarena was also hired under a supplemental contract to coach wrestling at the Grand Coulee Dam Middle School.

In other business, the board accepted a $5,678 grant from the Charlotte Y. Martin Foundation to be used for development of Lake Roosevelt High School’s girls’ basketball program. The school will report back at the end of the year on how the money was used.

The board declared surplus a 1991 Chevrolet pickup with an estimated value of $1,500, and a 1998 Bluebird 72-passenger bus, with an estimated value of $1,700. The two vehicles will first be offered to other school districts.
