Flash flood warning issued for local area

Local residents should be aware of a current flash flood warning issued by the National Weather Service this afternoon effecting our immediate area:

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM PDT FOR

EXTREME NORTHEASTERN DOUGLAS COUNTY...

AT 140 PM PDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO

INDICATE A THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER THE WARNED

AREA. RADAR ESTIMATED AS MUCH AS 1.00 TO 1.50 INCHES OF RAINFALL

HAS ALREADY FALLEN FROM THIS STORM.

SOME ROADS THAT ARE IN THE WARNED AREA INCLUDE BARRY ROAD...HOUSE

ROAD...PENDALL REX ROAD...AND WASHINGTON FLATS. MUDSLIDES WILL BE

POSSIBLE ALONG THE WESTERN SHORES OF RUFUS WOODS LAKE.
