Town leaders are true and honest

Letters to the Editor

Yes, I am a councilman’s wife. However, I am not writing in that capacity, but that of a citizen. Please know what and who you are voting for! I feel compelled to comment on the many months of ranting from people who are wanting something for nothing and seem to prefer mud-slinging to knowing the facts and the people who are trying to continue the good, honest and productive way the town of Coulee Dam has been run since its inception.

Not everyone feels a need to make someone else look bad just to promote themselves. Many of us have made our homes here because it has been a desirable place with clean streets, good fire protection and police services, safe water to drink, properly maintained sewer services and nice neighborhoods. None of the previously mentioned things can be available at no cost or performed at one’s own discretion. There are laws and state mandates that must be followed that are not optional, as well as environmental issues to deal with.

I believe the current council and mayor are very true and loyal to this town and want it to last and work in the best way possible.

Please be sure you talk to council members, not at them, to learn about their attitudes, position, or reason for actions taken. I believe you will be pleasantly enlightened learning more about their difficult jobs and decision-making. Thank you for your time and consideration in this important matter.
