Chamber to Meet at Noon

The Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its noon meeting at Siam Palace in Grand Coulee on Thursday, Nov. 14. The program will be presented by Jenn Tate and April Wertz of Earth and Sky Studios. They will be talking about Social Media practices.

CMC Guild

The Coulee Medical Center Guild (auxiliary) will hold regular meetings on the third Tuesday of each month. The next scheduled meeting and lunch is November 19 at noon at CMC. The Guild is in need of new members. Please join us. For information call 633-0405.

OES to Meet

Order of Eastern Star will meet Thursday, Nov. 14 at the lodge. Regular slated meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in Short Form and Chapter Dress. Refreshments will be provided by Vivian Dugan and Jo Ayers. Dugan will also provide birthday cake.

Okanogan County

Demos to Meet

The Okanogan County Democrats will be holding the November meeting on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the River Run Inn in Winthrop. Potluck starts at noon with monthly meeting to follow.

Blood Drive Set

The Inland Northwest Blood Center along with the Grand Coulee Community Blood Drive volunteers led by Bonnie Femling will be coordinating a blood drive on Monday,Nov. 25, from 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Professional Building across from the hospital.

INBC needs an average of 200 blood donors every day to meet the needs of more than 35 hospitals in the Inland Northwest. A single donation can save the lives of up to three people! For more information contact Jennifer Tollefson, INBC recruiter, at 509.280.8570.

Friday Story Time

The Grand Coulee Library Story time is every Friday at 10:30 a.m. Regular library hours are Mondays and Thursdays 12:30 - 5:30 p.m.; Tuesdays 12:30 - 7:30 p.m. and Wednesdays and Fridays 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. For information concerning library programs or services call 633-0972.

TOPS Meetings

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter meets on Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m. at Grand Coulee Senior Center prior to the exercise group gathering at 10 a.m. Come and join for the health of it.

TOPS#WA1490, Coulee Dam meets on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., meeting following weigh-in downstairs in the ground level fellowship hall in the Coulee Dam Community Presbyterian Church, 509 Central Ave., across from the Colville Tribal Museum. TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a non-profit weight loss organization.

A morning chapter TOPS #WA1554 will be held on Wednesday mornings with weigh-in at 7:45 a.m., and a meeting at 8 a.m. It will also be held at the Coulee Dam Community Church-Presbyterian.

Eagles #2577 Meetings

The Eagles #2577 Aerie meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. The next meeting is

November 26, at 7 p.m. The Auxiliary meets the first and third Tuesday of every month. Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov.19.

Care and Share Food Bank Open

The food bank at the Church of the Nazarene normal operating hours are every Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. It is located at the Church of Nazarene, hwy 174, Grand Coulee. The bank still can use clean plastic grocery bags.

Local AA Meetings

Confused in the Coulee AA meetings are held on Mondays at 7 p.m., Friday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m.. at the Vets Center in Electric City. Call Paul 633-3377 days or 633-3345 evenings. New Hope Group meetings are held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Vets Center. For more information call John 633-2448. These are open and non-smoking.

In Nespelem the group Bound and Determined holds its meetings Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Catholic Church. Contact Myrna 634-4921 for more information there.

Seniors Have Wheelchairs, Crutches Available

Through the Grand Coulee Dam Senior Center a program is available to members and other persons who for a short time need a wheel chair, walkers, crutches, canes, bath stools and other items of this type.

For those who have any of the above items that are from the center and no longer used please return. If you have any of the above items in good condition and would like to donate them to the center, it would be extremely appreciated. For those who cannot deliver, pickup is available.
