December 5th the Etheta Anderson Library hosted a “Lighting of the Library” party for the second time and over 125 people attended. All the children and adults were invited to attend and share cookies and punch provided by librarian Joette Berry, board members Terry McPherson, Christina Christopherson, Linda Black, Alberta Blanchard, Diane Canady and assistant librarians Joyce Dechenne and Dodie Boyd.
Santa arrived by Grand Coulee Fire Department fire truck and 56 new books were given to the excited children.
Drawings were held and the winners were: Coca Cola clock from Pepper Jack’s won by the Morse Family; gift certificate from Cafe Espresso won by Jessica R; membership from Body By Dam won by Andrea Marconi; Safeway movie; popcorn and pop from Safeway won by Madyson Voss; teddy bear from the Grand Coulee Postmaster won by Jercay Fuller; membership from Body By Dam won by Alison Rice; $25 gift certificate from Tammy’s Salon won by Emmaline Piturachatit; BBQ utensils, blanket and mug from GCDFCU won by Pam Chamberlain; washable coloring books from Funzee won by Trista Cournyer; Movie bucket from Christina Christopherson won by Jessica Sumner; gift certificate from the Siam won by Becca Hunt; Pizza from MJ’s won by Melissa; washable coloring books from from Funzee won by Kasidi Palmer; decorative snowman from Loepps won by Laurie Odell; movie box from Christina Christopherson won by Justin Blueeyes; $200 gift card from the Coulee Dam Federal Credit Union won by Amy Parker.
Attendees enjoyed some caroling and visiting to get the Christmas season started in the Coulee .
