State patrolling fishing spot

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife now has an enforcement officer living in the area and is patrolling Geezer Beach. He is politely explaining and clearing up confusion regarding licensing needs. (WA license is all that is needed!). So go fish on our beach and don't worry.

I would also like to clear up some rumors. I HAVE a tribal permit, I buy one every year to fish the Rez. I WILL NOT show it to tribal enforcement on Geezer Beach. They have no legal authority there. And just for the record, I also have Native American blood in my veins. This is not about race. What's wrong is wrong!

On a personal note, I totally fail to understand why CCT is even interested in a half mile of beach that has been 'white man’s as long as I can remember. BOTH sides of the river were bought for the dam. Only one side is still getting compensated for their supposed loss. Grand Coulee Dam, on every level, has benefited us all. It’s time to co-operate and everyone get on the same page, and let the past teach us, not drive us.
