Letters to the Editor
Ya know, it used to be when I would go to Coulee Dam City Hall I used to feel challenged, not physically or emotionally, but psychologically. Maybe I’m wrong, but I felt there was a felling of “you better know what you’re doing here so you won’t waste my time” kind of thing.
Well, anyway, I know the new regime has only been in office for a short while, but I feel a lot more comfortable there doing business.
I know that they have received no training for the job they are doing, so it may take a little longer to get some of the questions answered that we may have. I know that they are a lot more friendly or maybe it’s just me, I don’t know.
Here’s the thing: the mayor is an elected official to do what the people want and he hires his staff. So we’re all together here so far. Now, they are to run the town as effectively and efficiently as possible for the good of the people that elected them, and they also need to be people-friendly as not to feel intimidated by them. I feel we have this now, whereas before we did not.
Thank you for letting me share this with you and I appreciate the people we have working for us. Now we’ll see.
