Betty Lou Grandorff

Obituary

Betty Lou Grandorff, 83, went to meet her Lord Sunday afternoon, March 23, 2014, from Grand Coulee, Washington. Betty Lou was born June 27, 1930, into the Grand Island, Nebraska home of Alfred and Mary E. Grandorff. A faithful member of the Zion Lutheran Church family of Grand Coulee for many years, Betty Lou worked for and retired after fourteen years with the National Park Service in Grand Coulee. Betty Lou loved reading her Bible, enjoyed writing letters to her many friends and her collection of dolls. Her friends and family will always cherish how Betty Lou loved to laugh and sing, always bringing a spark of happiness to everyone whom she was near.

Predeceased by her brother Bill Grandorff, Betty Lou is survived by her sister-in-law Dorthea Grandorff; devoted nieces: Marjie Gallagher (Don), Linda Grandorff, Patty Servias (Cliff) and Donna Fields (John) and 17 great-nephews and great-nieces.

The family would like to express a special note of appreciation to the wonderful staff at Coulee Medical Center's Long Term Care Unit for their loving care of our Dear Aunt Betty Lou!

She will be placed next to her parents in Grand Coulee's Spring Canyon Cemetery during a private family service.

All are invited to a Celebration of Betty Lou's life officiated by Pastor Sean Neider at 10 a.m., on Saturday April 5, 2014, to take place at Zion Lutheran Church, 348 Mead Ave., Grand Coulee, Wash.

Her family requests that any donations be made to the Zion Lutheran Church of Grand Coulee, in Betty Lou's memory.
