Obituary

Nickita M. Reyes, 39, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Sacred Heart Medical Center her home is Grand Coulee, Wash. Nickita was born on January 31, 1975, in Omak, Wash., to Gary and Corrine (Carpenter) Reyes. She attended school both in Omak and Spokane and went on to college and received her medical billing degree.

She is survived by her father and stepmother Gary and Andi Reyes; five children: Tom Waters, Braden Waters, Joleigh Waters, Kassidy Palmer and Lalanie Palmer. Her five brothers: Terry Crim, Gordon Crim, Carl Glover, Dale Glover and Keith McFadden. She has 10 sisters Dorothy Zacherle, Celeste Edmo, Sabrina Abrahamson, Juanita Reyes, Lucinda Reyes, Janice Reyes, Carey Picking, Dani Evenmo, Anita Grenn and Jami Williams along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother Corrine Reyes, her sister Sis and her brother Gary Jr. She is a member of the Colville Confederated Tribes. A Rosary was held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Nespelem Catholic Longhouse followed by a Rosary on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Nespelem Community Center with the funeral mass on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. Nickita was laid to rest at the Chief Joseph Cemetery in Nespelem, WA. Strate Funeral Home, Grand Coulee, is caring for the family.
