Chamber This Week

Coulee Area Community Blood Drive

The Inland Northwest Blood Center along with the Coulee ommunity Blood Drive volunteers led by Rebecca Derrick will be coordinating the blood drive at Coulee Medical Center Professional Building B on Monday, July 21, from 11:30 am. - 4:30 p.m. INBC needs an average of 200 blood donors every day to meet the needs of more than 35 hospitals in the Inland Northwest. CMC Guild to Meet

Coulee Medical Center Guild (Auxiliary) holds its regular luncheon meeting the third Tuesday of every month. The next meeting is July 15 in the Community Room at CMC from noon to 2 p.m.

The guild is seeking new members. Membership dues are only $5 a year. For more information call 633-0405.

OES to Meet

Order of Eastern Star will hold an Independence Day meeting on Thursday, July 10. There will be a friendship picnic and balloting. It will be in long form and dress of choice. Refreshments and birthday cake will be provided by Mara Landrum.

Lincoln County Fire District 9 Meeting

Lincoln County Fire District 9 will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, July 10, at 6 p.m., at the Nazarene Church.

TOPS Meetings

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 1524 meets on Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m. at Grand Coulee Senior Center prior to the exercise group gathering at 10 a.m. Come and join for the health of it.

A morning chapter TOPS #WA1554 meets Wednesday mornings with weigh-in at 7:45 a.m., and a meeting at 8 a.m. It will also be held at the Coulee Dam Community Church-Presbyterian.

Local AA Meetings

Confused in the Coulee AA meetings are held on Mondays at 7 p.m., Friday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m.. at the Vets Center in Electric City. Call Paul 633-3377 days or 633-3345 evenings. New Hope Group meetings are held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Vets Center. For more information call John 633-2448. These are open and non-smoking.

In Nespelem the group, Bound and Determined holds its meetings Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Catholic Church. Contact Myrna, 634-4921 for more information there.

Seniors Have Wheelchairs, Crutches Available

Through the Grand Coulee Dam Senior Center a program is available to members and other persons who for a short time need a wheel chair, walkers, crutches, canes, bath stools and other items of this type.

For those who have any of the above items that are from the center and no longer used please return. If you have any of the above items in good condition and would like to donate them to the center, it would be extremely appreciated. For those who cannot deliver, pickup is available.
