Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man after responding to a reckless shooting incident near the Jameson Lake Resort last Friday.
Deputies received a report that two men were shooting in a reckless manner and the reporting party was afraid that a camper might be injured or that a fire might be started.
Two men were contacted and one was arrested when deputies learned that he was a convicted felon and was in possession of a gun.
Arrested was Peter R. Emery, 31, of Kenmore, Wa. When arrested he was holding a .40 caliber Smith and Wesson pistol.
Emery was booked into jail without incident. The other man was warned about shooting in a reckless manner.
