Michael Clark Pierce, 60, passed away surrounded by family and friends in Grand Coulee, Washington Tuesday evening September 2, 2014, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 4, 1954 into the Coulee Dam Washington home of Frank and Barbara (Vail) Pierce, Michael graduated from Lake Roosevelt High School in 1972, where he enjoyed playing sports, particularly basketball. Following high school, Michael attended college, worked for the park service for several years and most recently was employed as a sales representative for a custodial supply company. An avid hunter, Michael enjoyed spending time boating and camping, but especially loved spending time with his family and many friends, who have particularly fond memories of times spent around his shuffleboard table. "Mike just enjoyed having FUN."
Predeceased by both parents and his nephew Chase Michael Warrington; Michael is survived by his soulmate LuAnn Ayling and her wonderful family; daughters: Shaun Beaner (Josh), Alana Lysen (Ben) and Kara Garman (Casey); grandchildren: Payton Beaner, Trever Beaner, Brock Beaner, Brady Beaner; Tanner Garman, Parker Lysen and Bodee Lysen, and brother Dave Pierce; sister Tami Warrington (Scott); lifelong friends: Mike and Vicky Zowada and numerous extended family members.
At Michael's request cremation has taken place. A 2 p.m., celebration of Michael's life will begin at his home on Saturday, September 20, 2014.
