dumping

for fall cleanup

Fall cleanup time has arrived in the coulee. Residents can dump yard waste free at the Delano Transfer Station Nov. 15-22. Dump hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. People are asked to bag leaves and cut limbs to lengths under six feet long. Loads must be secured with tarps and or straps or ropes.

dinner

The Senior Center will offer a Thanksgiving turkey dinner and dessert potluck Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 5 p.m. Those attending are asked to make reservations before Nov. 19. You can sign up at the senior center or call 633-2321. Cost of the dinner is $6.50 for those under 60, or a $3.25 donation for those 60 and older.

revenue slumping

The Delano Regional Transfer Station showed a $3,365.28 gain in revenue over 2013 for the month of October, but it is still $20,265.21 under revenue for the 10-month period from January-October this year compared to last year, according to a report to the Regional Board of Mayors Monday afternoon.
