News, views and advertising of the Grand Coulee Dam Area
I have lived here, in Grant County near Electric City, for about 20 years, but I needed a rental house for the summer. Merle Kennedy found a nice little house in Coulee Dam; it was just what I wanted, so I said “I’ll Take it”.
I had not thought too much about living in Coulee Dam, but after four months there I was impressed. The utilities were first rate, no trouble with anything; city hall was close so I could just drop in and pay just one combined utility bill.
The house itself had been remodeled and everything was new — kitchen, bathroom, walls, floors, windows, even lawn sprinklers.
The streets were in great shape; street sweepers came by every now and then.
The police patrolled all day; they must have gone past 10 times a day.
A brand new, beautiful school is just down the street.
Honestly, it was like living in a luxury neighborhood.
Another thing I liked was the family barbecues going on around me, the smells and the laughter. There are a lot of well mannered kids playing in the evening.
The summer in Coulee Dam on Camas Street was very pleasant, indeed.
