Chamber To Meet

The Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce will meet at the Melody Restaurant in Coulee Dam on Thursday, April 2, at noon. The program will general business.

Food Bank

The food bank at the Church of the Nazarene normal operating hours are every Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. It is located at the Church of Nazarene, hwy 174, Grand Coulee. The bank still can use clean plastic grocery bags.

Open Sewing at

Senior Art Room

Tuesdays from 1-5 p.m. there will be open sewing at the senior center art room. There is no charge. For more information contact Marlene Oddie of KISSed Quilts, 509.386.5715.

Local AA Meetings

Confused in the Coulee AA meetings are held on Mondays at 7 p.m., Friday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m.. at the Vets Center in Electric City. Call Paul 633-3377 days or 633-3345 evenings. New Hope Group meetings are held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Vets Center. For more information call Sue 509.631.0861. These are open and non-smoking.

In Nespelem the group Bound and Determined holds its meetings Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Catholic Church. Contact Myrna 634-4921 for more information there.

American Legion

Post 157 Meets

The American Legion Post 157 holds legion meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Vets’ Center in Electric City. All veterans are welcome. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, April 14. For more information contact Jerry at 633-2579.

Goat Day Saturday

A Goat Day hosted by the UROK 4-H Club will be held Saturday, April 4, at Caso’s Country Foods, 2406 Elmway, Okanogan. It will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. On the agenda is: Goats for wed control; goat races; goat meat recipes; milk goat demonstration; hoof trimming; braiding goat collars and goat tail tying. Goats are provided for demonstration. For more information call Carey Hunter 826-9492. This program is possible due to WSU Extension Programs.

Hands on Calibration Workshop Offered

April 7, 2015, 10 am – 4 pm, Nespelem Community Center, 28 School Loop Rd, Nespelem, WA. 5 WSDA (2+3) Recertification Credits will be available for pesticide license holders.

This workshop is provided FREE of charge. Please register by April 3rd, 2015 by contacting the WSU Colville Reservation Extension Office at (509) 634-2304, in case of time and location changes. Classes hosted by Colville Tribes Fish & Wildlife and Range Departments, in collaboration with: WSU Extension through USDA APHIS PPQ Section.
