Raiders defeat Manson

Other games rescheduled

The Raiders dominated the diamond in Coulee Dam Thursday, taking down the Manson Trojans 13-3 in Lake Roosevelt’s only contest of the week.

Raider Baseball had been scheduled to play four games last week. But their Tuesday game against Liberty Bell had to be moved due to the rain. Then a Saturday doubleheader against Oroville was postponed due to injuries and other factors.

“We played well as a team,” Head Coach Billy Nicholson commented on the Manson game, adding praise for his pitchers. “Chance (Garvin) and Devan (Black) both did well on the mound.”

In fact, the Trojans were never really in the game, as the Raiders jumped out early and led 7-0 by the start of the third inning.

The Raiders were led at the plate by Taren Redstar led the Raider at the plate, hitting three for four with two runs batted in.

Trey Nicholson went two for three with four RBIs and a double. Garvin backed up his pitching with a .500 batting performance and scored three runs.

Last night, the Raiders took on the Warriors of Almira/Coulee-Hartline in a doubleheader at Greene Field. April 7, the Raiders host the Brewster Bears there in a doubleheader starting at 11 a.m.
