Two Lady Raiders have been named to the Central Washington North All-League Softball squad.
One is appearing on the list for the second straight year. The other was a newcomer to the squad who has the potential to become a perennial on the all-league team. Head Coach Jamie Lezard had this to say about the All-Leaguers, “They both played great all season.”
The returner from the 2014 All-League squad was Senior Savannah Marin. Marin became a big time player for LR both in the field at third base and at the plate. There were games where the Lady Raiders whole offense was Marin. She batted .500 on the season with 25 hits on 50 at bats. She hit four doubles and a triple, driving in 12 runs while scoring 15 herself. Marin was named to the first team All CWB North.
Sean Garvin was new to the Lady Raiders this season and made a mark early and often at Center Field. Garvin shows great potential and could become the team leader filling in the shoes vacated by Marin’s graduation.
Garvin’s batting average was .400 with 14 hits, two doubles and a triple, driving in 13 runs while scoring 12 herself. Garvin was also called to the pitching mound for the Lady Raiders. Garvin was named to the second team ALL CWB North.
