Obituary
Helen Elisabeth Fifield, 82, resident of Coulee Dam, Washington, left this world for her heavenly home on Sunday, June 7, 2015, in Boise, Idaho (where she had been living with her daughter for the past few months).
Helen was born on January 30, 1933, in Juneau, Alaska, to Elbert and Bernice (Berggren) Day. She married Robert D. Fifield on April 27, 1948, in Sedro Woolley, Wash.

After dropping out of high school to marry as a teenager, Helen worked full-time as a teacher as she earned her degree. She loved teaching and devoted her life to enriching the lives of young people with her love of learning, love of books, and, most importantly, her love for Jesus and the Bible. Her greatest desire was to impart those passions into the hearts of future generations.
Helen is survived by her husband Robert; daughters: Sharon Miller; Virginia Beaudry; Lois (John) LaPointe; Inis (Jim) Fox; son James (Jeanine) Fifield; 22 granchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; brother, David (Marian) Day of Lake Stevens, Wash., and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Marilyn (Dale) Wesson; her parents; sister, Harriet Shurloff; and two grandbabies.
Helen had been a member of the Assemblies of God Church all of her life.
A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, August 7, at 1 p.m., at the Arlington Municipal Cemetery, Arlington, Wash.
