Ransom Morrow Holcomb passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015, at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, Washington.
Ransom is survived by daughter, Kim Lilly; her husband, Ed, and three sons: Ed, Henry and George; his daughter, Kristine Barker, her husband, Dean, and their two sons: Brandon and Adam; and their daughters, Emily and Sarah; his son, Brad Holcomb; and his sister, Patty Simpson.
Ransom was born to Pearl and Ransom Holcomb in Walla Walla, Washington, on July 23, 1937. He grew up in Coulee Dam, Washington, where he graduated from Coulee Dam High School. He served in the Army and attended both WSU and UW, where he studied engineering. He worked at Boeing and later became president of Warden Fluid Dynamics in Fremont.
Ransom was very social and loved people. He was a member of the Bellevue Club, where he enjoyed spending time with his friends. He also loved Starbucks and visiting over a cup of coffee. Ransom loved to play and watch golf and was a member of the Glendale Golf & Country Club. He was a dedicated and loving father and grandfather.
We will miss him and his great sense of humor. All the love and laughter he brought to our family will live on in our memories of him forever.
Ransom’s ashes will be laid to rest with his parents at Spring Canyon Cemetery next fall.
