Chamber Meets at the Senior Center
The Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce will be meeting this Thursday, Nov. 5, at noon, at the senior center in Grand Coulee. Katy Clark will be giving a program on baskets and basket weaving.
Blood Drive Coming
The Inland Northwest Blood Center along with the Grand Coulee community blood drive volunteers, led by coordinator Sommer Hicks, will hold a blood drive in the community room of Coulee Medical Center on Monday, November 19, 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
INBC needs an average of 200 blood donors every day to meet the needs of more than 35 hospitals in the Inland Northwest. A single donation can save the lives of up to three people. For more information call Jennifer Tollefson, Donor Recruitment Supervisor, at 509-280-8570.
Okanogan County School Retirees Association to Meet
Okanogan County School Retirees’ Association members will learn the art of crafting cards at a Make-It, Take-It social at Koala Street Grill in Omak, on Friday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. For more information call Jennie Hedington at 509-422-2954.
TOPS Meetings
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 1524 meets on Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m. at Grand Coulee Senior Center prior to the exercise group gathering at 10 a.m. Come and join for the health of it. The SAIL exercise class follows this meeting beginning at 10 a.m. There is no charge. Also, a SAIL exercise class is held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., at the Coulee Dam Community Church.
