Obituary
Warren Henry Byam, formerly of Electric City, Washington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 7, 2015, surrounded by his family in Oregon City, Oregon, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Born March 12, 1927, in Billings, Montana, he was one of 10 children. He served in the United States Navy as a Seabees during WWII and worked for the United States Bureau of Reclamation at Grand Coulee Dam for 45 years. His hobbies were building trailers, rebuilding and selling cars and equipment.
Per his request, cremation has taken place and there will be a private interment for family at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon.
Warren is survived by his wife of 68 years, Elsie Louise (McVay) Byam of Oregon City, Oregon; a brother, Burt Byam of Modesto, California; a sister, Bonnie Schmidt (Herb) of Moses Lake, Washington; son Kary Byam (Pam) of Electric City; daughters: Lynn Crowe (Cecil) of Oregon City; Kym Byam (Lancer) of Canby, Oregon; grandchildren: Karyn Payne (Dennis) of Electric City; Sheri Douglas (Cory) of Vancouver, Washington; Kristin Bartholomew (Kevin) of Happy Valley, Oregon; Ryan Crowe (Megan) of Damascus, Oregon.
In addition, Warren was blessed with great-grandchildren: Madisyn Byam, Mason Bartholomew and Kamryn Gurske; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
