Obituary

Dewanna Lynn Anderson 70, of Grand Coulee, Washington, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015, in Spokane, Washington.

Dewanna was born in the St. Paul, Arkansas, home of Myron C. and Aletha F. Langley, on November 24, 1944. Following graduation from High School in Pateros, Washington, Dewanna worked in the apple packing sheds and attended Wenatchee Valley College.

On May 21, 1966, Dewanna's life changed forever when she married Kent Anderson in Methow, Washington. After living and working in Grand Coulee, they lived in the Flathead Valley of Montana from 1976 to 1987. They moved back to Grand Coulee, where Kent returned to work at Grand Coulee Dam. Dewanna attended Grand Coulee Church of the Nazarene and later the Community Presbyterian Church of Wilbur, Washington.

Dewanna loved getting her hands into the soil growing flowers, especially her roses. She enjoyed worked with needles, whether sewing, crocheting or quilting – a passion she shared with her mother. Her greatest love was always Kent and their family, whether just spending time together at the house, camping up the Methow Valley or attending the grandchildren's school events.

Predeceased by both of her parents, Dewanna's legacy lives on through her beloved husband of 49 years, Kent Anderson; two sons: Marc (Alisa) Anderson, and Jeff (Tammy) Anderson; six grandchildren: Lindsey Anderson, Garrett Anderson, McKenna Anderson, Nicholas Anderson, Mason Anderson and Riana Anderson; and two brothers: Dan (Diane) Barham and Tom (Jana) Langley.

Burial has taken place at Wilbur Cemetery, Wilbur, Washington. Her family requests that donations be made in Dewanna's memory to the charity of your choice.
